Marilyn Mosley

Marilyn Mosley Gordanier, speaker, author and founder of Laurel Springs School. In 1991, before most schools had even dreamed of having a computer in every classroom, Marilyn capitalized upon a now-common education tool, the Internet, creating the first-ever online school for K-12 grade—Laurel Springs. Although Marilyn has reached her dream of educating kids across the globe, she feels there is so much more for her to accomplish. In addition to writing two books on alternative education, Marilyn is currently the president of the Global 500 forum for the United Nations. This position allows her to be a steward for education worldwide, including interacting with presidents, world leaders and administrative principals.

Amber Walker

For the past five and a half years, Amber has been head of our Marketing and Public Relations Departments, traveling for LSS, attending competitions, conferences, tournaments, awards ceremonies, even the desert to see our motocross kids! Where our students are – Amber goes! And go she does! Amber is a ball of energy when it comes to supporting our school! It’s obvious she loves our students and our school, and she wants everyone to know what we have to offer them. In her travels, she has had to deal with lost luggage, misplaced supplies, garbled reservations and inclement weather of all types! That has not slowed her down! Even with a broken foot, she traveled to the Pacific Coast Ice Skating Regionals and Sectionals, then went to Salt Lake City, Utah, for the 2008 USFA Junior Nationals. Among her many passions, Amber also loves to dance (she was Miss Gazzari's on Sunset Strip in 1969!), and even performed as a go-go dancer in the early '70s. Amber says she'd still rather dance through life than drudge, inviting one and all to jump on the bandwagon with her and boogie down.
