"I want to thank you for everything you have done for me and for putting up such a great school program. It has given me the best opportunity to develop as a student and as a person. I received a letter from the University of Pennsylvania stating that I have been accepted to the Wharton Business School. My whole family is thrilled and we want to thank you for participating in this life transition. You can now take pride in putting yet another Laurel Springs student into an Ivy League education! Thanks again for everything."

The Laurel Springs Difference

Why Laurel Springs?

Laurel Springs combines the benefits of the best private schools with the flexibility of distance learning.

At Laurel Springs we:

Celebrate relationships.

Our teachers nurture the best in each student. They develop a relationship with each student and are available by phone or email to your child at any time. We support and train parents to ensure success with home education.

Respond to students and families.

Laurel Springs offers the best in administrative support. From your first enrollment phone call through graduation you'll receive warm caring attention. We continuously assess our curriculum, teacher services, and school procedures to meet the needs of our students and families.

Create curriculum to match your child.

No two students live, learn, or process information in the same way—that's why we've designed a teaching method and curriculum to match each child. We don't ask them to match our teaching model as most schools and curricula do. We offer families customizable curricula and packages from which you can mix and match. Take our Learning Styles Profile to understand your child's unique learning style.

Prepare students for college.

Our distance learning curriculum teaches and requires critical thinking—an essential skill for the college-bound student. Our students learn through challenging and creative lessons that are correlated to state standards. None of our lessons are fill-in-the-blank or multiple choice in style.

Provide college advising.

We have high school college-bound programs: College Prep Program with MyEdge—tools for the college and career planning process, and Premier College Prep Program with CollegeKey—your own personalized college prep source. Both programs help students enter the college or university of their choice. A diploma from Laurel Springs—a WASC accredited distance learning program—is recognized by colleges and major universities everywhere.

Recognize special talents and gifts.

Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and bring with them a wide variety of goals. We work with elite student athletes and actors as well as honors and special needs students. We provide the academic challenges and flexibility they require.

Encourage community.

Just like a traditional private school, our students love the annual High School Prom and their own Graduation Ceremony. We encourage our students to get involved in their community and earn Life Learning Credits for their transcripts. All this plus a message board, newsletter, and more.

As a result, distance learning students at Laurel Springs become:

  • Educated individuals
  • Active learners
  • Independent thinkers
  • Effective communicators
  • Multi-faceted citizens
  • College graduates
