LSS student Whitney Kay rolls in quarterfinal match
Top-seeded Whitney Kay from Alpharetta, GA., rolled in her quarterfinal match against Robin Anderson from Matawan, N.J., 6-2, 6-0 in Palm Springs, CA.
"I just kept putting pressure on her by hitting deep balls," said the 13-year-old Kay, one of 55 players in the tournament attending Laurel Springs School, an independent study school in Ojai, CA.
