"I want to thank you for everything you have done for me and for putting up such a great school program. It has given me the best opportunity to develop as a student and as a person. I received a letter from the University of Pennsylvania stating that I have been accepted to the Wharton Business School. My whole family is thrilled and we want to thank you for participating in this life transition. You can now take pride in putting yet another Laurel Springs student into an Ivy League education! Thanks again for everything."

Laurel Springs School is an innovator in the field of online, or Web-based, education. We have nearly 80 online courses, including honors and special needs offerings, fulfilling NCAA criteria and A-G admission requirements established by the University of California.

Now, with the introduction of Aurora Version 6, Laurel Springs School's new online course delivery system, Web-based learning is easier than ever! With our revolutionary new software, a student views and works on lessons at his or her own online desk, located in our password-protected Student Center.

Being supportive and encouraging are the most effective tools parents can provide their child during this phase of education. That's why we make it simple for parents to log on and quickly track their child's progress.

Color-coding shows each lesson as yet-to-be-started, in progress, completed, or graded. Teachers review students’ work and e-mail suggestions and comments back to them. They also send e-mail messages to parents indicating where progress has been made or where more effort needs to be applied.

When students have questions or problems, they can post a request from within the system or e-mail requests for help to their teachers. Our online technical staff handles e-mail requests about technical problems.

Web-Based Curriculum 5th-8th

Our Web-based 5th-8th grade core online courses combine the dynamic interactivity of the Web with online and off-line assignments. Courses include complete explanation of the subject, full-color photos and graphics, plus numerous links to web sites that expand upon the subject. Each course includes 36 lessons, a full school year of instruction.
