"Laurel Springs continues to be a fantastic schooling program for me. Not only has it given me the flexibility I have needed to pursue a pro tennis career, but I am getting a great education and am on track to graduate meeting all of my college entrance requirements. If I decide to go to college, I'll be prepared and it's good to know that I will always have that as an option."

Olympic Medalist Tanith Belbin meets with LSS Staff |

| Champions on Ice at the Los Angeles Staples Center was the scene of a long-awaited meeting last Saturday. Tanith Belbin, Olympic Silver Medalist, three-time National Gold Medalist, and Laurel Springs Alumna, invited our Director, Marilyn, and LSS Head of Marketing, Amber Walker, to be her guests for the show. | ||
Having enthusiastically followed Tanith"s skating career over the past few years, Marilyn was excited to meet her once again and watch her skate with her partner, Benjamin Agosto, in a thrilling performance.
Exchanging lots of joyful hugs and words of appreciation backstage after the show, Tanith mentioned that she"s met a large number of fans, who proudly tell her they"re Laurel Springs" students as well. She was quick to add that she"s thankful Laurel Springs School was there for her when she needed just its kind of school. She says "I would never have been able to finish school and train for the Olympics at the same time if it hadn"t been for LSS." She also said "to tell everyone she endorses Laurel Springs School," for all kids who are pursuing a career in skating.
Marilyn and Amber were also happy they had the chance to thank Ben for all the support he"s given Tanith in helping her realize both her academic and personal dreams. Everyone agreed, it takes support in every area of your life to achieve such admirable goals.
