"I want to thank you for everything you have done for me and for putting up such a great school program. It has given me the best opportunity to develop as a student and as a person. I received a letter from the University of Pennsylvania stating that I have been accepted to the Wharton Business School. My whole family is thrilled and we want to thank you for participating in this life transition. You can now take pride in putting yet another Laurel Springs student into an Ivy League education! Thanks again for everything."

LSS Students Honored For High Math Scores

Alanna and Gennelle Dedek will be twelve on June 27. They began homeschooling this past year. They finished their curriculum at the end of March, and began looking for something more challenging that would allow them to work at their own pace. Then they found Laurel Springs! Laurel Springs has the flexibility for them to go at their own speed! Yes!

They were honored at a year-end ceremony for their high math scores. Alanna earned "High Honors", while Gennelle had "Honors."  The honors were given as a result of a special test they took, and it included about the top thirty students in the school district (fifteen elementary schools).

Both actors, recent credits include recurring co-star roles on an NBC sitcom called "Four Kings," unfortunately now cancelled.  They played Lisa and Lexi, evil twin daughters to Barry's (played by Seth Green) girlfriend.

The girls are avid dancers, spending about 20 hours a week in the studio, taking tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, street, modern, lyrical, yoga and pilates (does that cover it???).  Their favorite is tap - they were National Champions two separate times with a tap duet.  This year, they are competing with an a cappella number, and were given a special award by the judges at a recent competition, dubbing them "The Human Metronome." (You can check out the video at their website). This summer they will be teaching assistants for younger children"s dance classes.
