"Laurel Springs gave me the opportunity to travel while in high school and learn from the world what I was reading in my textbooks. I received a wonderful education in life. It allowed me to pursue my academic goals as well as my personal goals. I’m now receiving an education at the American University of Paris, pursuing my MBA in International Business Administration."

Project-Based Curriculum K-8th

View K-8 Project-Based Sample Courses

This exciting curriculum is based on award-winning classic literature books and hands-on projects. The program is excellent for creative children and for families who want an experience-based curriculum. Project-based curriculum integrates language arts, math, social studies, health, science, and the arts around major themes.

This curriculum is developed specifically for parents to implement. Each grade package provides easy-to-follow plans for a complete year of learning. The curriculum encourages and provides examples of how to focus learning around the child’s own interests and ways in which everyday living experiences may be used to teach concepts and skills.

When ordering curriculum in grades one through eight, parents have the option of selecting either the Spectrum series for mathematics, or the substantially more comprehensive Saxon series. Spectrum provides clear, concise instructions for teaching and learning all of the basic skills expected of children in the elementary grades. The Saxon publications were specifically developed for homeschoolers and provide the parent/teacher with substantially more practice material and opportunities to extend the learning of math beyond the basics.
