Eight Laurel Springs Students Play at the Tennis U.S. Open
I am so proud today of our Laurel Springs students who follow their dream to play tennis and compete among the best tennis players. I'm writing in between matches at the U.S. Open in New York where we are proud to be cheering on eight Laurel Springs students and one alumni.
Laurel Springs has eight students participating in this years U. S. Tennis Open. Asia Muhammad and alumna Alexa Glatch both lost their first rounds in Women’s Singles. However, Asia went on to win, as of today, her second round in the Girls’ Singles category. Gail Brodsky also won her second round, and so has Christina McHale. Nicole Gibbs qualified, but did not win her round. Out of the 10 girls’ rounds we had students in 4 rounds.
In the Girls' Doubles competition, four Laurel Springs students Julia Boserup, Christina McHale, Nicle Gibbs and Asia Muhammad are playing today.
In the Boys' Doubles, Laurel Springs student, Jordan Cox is playing.
Laurel Springs had two boys participating in the Boys' Singles yesterday. Laurel Springs student, Jordan Cox, who won his first round, but lost his second, and Evan King, played one round and lost. Giant congratulations to all of our students playing at the U.S. Open!
