Rebecca Kochenderfer, owner of Homeschool.com and author of Homeschooling and Loving It!, interviews Marilyn Mosley, founder of Laurel Springs School. Laurel Springs is  the home school for several Olympic athletes. Marilyn’s passion is helping ALL students achieve their goals and fulfill their dreams, encouraging them to incorporate their purpose as part of their homeschool curriculum.

Thursday, June 26, 2008 - Ventura County Star - Graduation Weekend festivities for Laurel Springs School's seniors, their families, and friends, began at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Ventura, California, with a "Casino Night" theme. A semi-formal affair, the ladies looked lovely in their gowns, boas, and beads. The fellows wore their best bib and tucker too, and the night began with distribution of sham "casino bucks" to play with. Manifesting Las Vegas in the ballroom that night were a craps table, poker, roulette, and black jack.

Marilyn Mosley is the Director of Laurel Springs School in Ojai, California, which has an online program for students through high school level anywhere in the world, and a homeschooling program that enrolls many gifted students, including a number of young television and film actors. Also a ballet student from age five, Marilyn joined the Plexis Dance Company in Ventura, CA, and choreographs youth dance productions, sometimes included in Laurel Springs graduation ceremonies. With their cell phones, cool cars and bulging bank accounts, Hollywood’s teenage stars may seem more worldly than their lesser-known peers. But at graduation time, young celebs are just as jittery as anyone else about leaving high school.
