Laurel Springs teachers provide high-quality instruction for a premier college prep education.
At Laurel Springs School, students have access to teachers who offer them a personalized course of study. Our teachers are fully-qualified, experienced professionals who are experts in online instruction and incorporate understanding of different learning styles into the relationships they develop with students.
In the elementary and middle school years, our teachers work as partners with parents to deliver an education experience that takes each student’s learning style into consideration. While the parent’s role is more vital and active in the early grades, teachers are available as curriculum experts, and ensure students master the material through ongoing assessments. Teachers hold regular virtual classroom sessions, which foster collaboration and allow students to participate in real-time group learning activities. These sessions include content area discussions and provide students with the opportunity to share areas of individual interest. Additionally, teachers encourage students to join clubs, which extend relationships between peers and teachers, and inspire students to develop new applications of skills learned in classes.
As students progress into high school, they enjoy the specialized support of a different teacher for each subject, including teachers with advanced degrees in their area of expertise. The role of teachers is more involved, as they help students create an education plan designed to ensure entrance into their college of choice. At Laurel Springs, students also benefit from homeroom teachers who guide and support them through high school; the homeroom teacher plays a special part in keeping students on track with curriculum and college requirements. Each student’s subject matter instructors and homeroom teacher frequently communicate with each other and the student to promote student success.
