Fiona Spring earned a BA in English and World
Literature from Pitzer College. She has also completed post
graduate work in the fields of Media Studies and Graphic Design
at the University of California at Santa Barbara. Fiona has
taught French, English and Social Studies for Laurel Springs.
Her interest in Linguistics led her to take a pioneering role
in the school’s English Language Programs, working with
educators from Japan, Russia & Mexico to invent the English
Prep courses.
Susie received her BA in English from UC Berkeley and an MA
in TESL from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. After graduating
from Cal, Susie was in the Peace Corps for three years in
the Republic of Kiribati in the South Pacific where she worked
closely with host country teachers teaching English as a foreign
language in the elementary and secondary schools. Susie later
worked as a journalist at a small town newspaper on eastern
Long Island and on the development staff at The Parrish Art
Museum in Southampton, New York. While doing her graduate
work in Hawaii, Susie taught English at both the University
of Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific University. Since moving to Santa
Barbara, Susie has taught English Literature in the mornings
at a small private high school and ESL night classes at Santa
Barbara City College.
Johnny Brewton is a designer of award winning
websites and of numerous books and periodicals. His work is
collected by various Universities including Brown, Yale, Wisconsin,
Ohio, and the University at Buffalo's rare book dept. as well
as the J. Paul Getty Museum.
Jeff Kaiser is an award winning composer,
trumpet player, conductor and private music instructor living
in Ventura, California. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music
Composition from Westmont College and a Master of Music in
Choral and Orchestral Conducting from Azusa Pacific University.
He has played professionally with many different groups and
individuals on television, radio and in concert halls throughout
the United States and his music has been performed around
the world. Jeff was the sound technician recordings of spoken
English used in all English Prep courses. |
